One hot and sticky July afternoon, about 25 years ago, I was driving through the back roads of rural Wisconsin when I passed by an overgrown junk yard.  Something made me turn around and go back. Inspiration. Armed with a camera my dad had just bought for me and a couple rolls of infrared film I photographed my way through the rusty Fords, corroding Chevys and various other jalopy carcasses  – their once-shiny metallic chassis’ rusting away under the blazing sun.

As I composed images of a time past,  a feeling of enlightenment came over me.  I thought to myself, “This is what I want to do.” -Make pictures that tell stories.

Today, 25 years, 6000 miles,  and a few technologies later,  I still want to make pictures that tell stories.

My photographic work has appeared in Newsweek, TIme, Esquire, NY Times Magazine, Smithsonian, GQ, Marie Claire, ESPN, People, and more.

I have lived in Jerusalem, Israel since the year 2000.
